# Formwork cuts QMS + Techdoc to 499 € and raises Starter to 99 €

OpenRegulatory changed Formwork's prices in March 2025.[^discount] Two plans moved in opposite directions.

## QMS + Techdoc: 799 € to 499 €

Before the change, QMS + Techdoc was listed at 799 € a month, and a startup discount brought it down to 499 €.[^discount] In September 2024 the vendor described the condition: 499 € a month if it could show the customer's logo on its website, otherwise 799 €.[^pricing-2024] Since March 2025 the plan costs 499 € a month for everyone, with unlimited user seats.[^discount][^pricing-2025]

## Starter: 49 € to 99 €

The old Starter plan cost 49 € a month. It included all features but was only open to startups with three or fewer employees, no funding and no revenue.[^pricing-2024] The new Starter plan costs 99 € a month. It is open to every company, but it is limited to 5 user seats and can't release product documentation.[^pricing-2025] The vendor's own note calls the new tier "more expensive", but says "you can get this tier regardless of your company situation".[^starter-note]

The April 2025 price list also shows the free Community Edition limited to 5 user seats.[^pricing-2025] We found no statement on whether existing customers kept their old prices.

## What it means for buyers

Both prices were unchanged in October 2026: 499 € and 99 € a month plus VAT.[^pricing-live] A team of more than 5 people needs QMS + Techdoc, because the other tiers stop at 5 users.[^pricing-live] Our [Formwork review](/reviews/formwork/) explains what each plan includes and notes that the terms put no cap on renewal increases.
