# Greenlight Guru acquires Enzyme

Greenlight Guru acquired Enzyme on 23 July 2025.[^gg-pr][^press] It was its second acquisition in a few weeks, after [Ultralight Labs](/news/greenlight-guru-acquires-ultralight-labs/) on 17 June 2025.[^gg-pr]

Enzyme was founded in 2017 and went through Y Combinator. It sells a cloud eQMS to medical device, digital health and biopharma companies.[^about][^yc] Enzyme said it was selling because its CEO was leaving, and because its customers needed "a more mature infrastructure".[^goodbye] Greenlight Guru said it was "already working with Enzyme's customers aiming to ensure continuity, responsive support, and a clear roadmap".[^gg-pr]

## What happened next

The Enzyme product is still maintained. Its public release notes list 23 releases between July 2025 and September 2026, most of them fixes to its Jira integration.[^releases] The Enzyme website still takes demo and pricing requests. Apart from an acquisition banner, it hasn't changed since mid-2025.[^home][^sitemap]

Neither company has said publicly whether Enzyme will be merged into Greenlight Guru's platform, or whether new customers can still buy it.

## What it means for buyers

If you use Enzyme or are considering it, ask Greenlight Guru for its roadmap and support commitment for Enzyme in writing, and how you'd get all your data out if the product is retired. Enzyme's public terms say it returns your data at the end of the contract, but not in what format.[^terms]
