Honeywell buys Sparta Systems, the maker of TrackWise

Honeywell bought Sparta Systems, the maker of TrackWise, from private-equity firm New Mountain Capital on 12 February 2021 for $1,303 million.

Honeywell agreed on 22 December 2020 to buy all the shares of Sparta Systems from New Mountain Capital, in an all-cash deal of $1.3 billion.1 It completed the purchase on 12 February 2021 for $1,303 million. Honeywell called Sparta “a leading provider of enterprise quality management software for the life sciences industry” and placed it in its Performance Materials and Technologies segment.2

Honeywell’s annual report filed in February 2026 still lists Sparta Systems, Inc. of New Jersey as a wholly owned subsidiary.3 Sparta Systems, Inc. is the company you contract with for TrackWise Digital.4
