# Lauxera buys Galen Data and puts it next to Matrix Requirements

Lauxera Capital Partners announced on 25 November 2024 that it had acquired Galen Data of Houston. The announcement says the deal "follows Lauxera's 2022 acquisition of Matrix Requirements".[^lauxera-galen] Lauxera had taken a majority stake in Matrix Requirements in June 2022 (see [our news post](/news/lauxera-majority-stake-matrix-requirements/)).

Galen Data's device-cloud product is now sold as Matrix Connect.[^home] In May 2025 Matrix Requirements and Galen Data took one name, Matrix One (see [our news post](/news/matrix-requirements-becomes-matrix-one/)).[^about]

## What it means for buyers
