# Matrix Req moves to yearly plans with six users included

In mid-October 2026 Matrix One changed how it prices Matrix Req, its requirements and design control product. The plans used to be priced per month with 3 users included. They are now priced per year with 6 users included:[^req-prices]

Extra users still cost $89 a month for read/write and $16 for read-only.[^req-prices] Each new yearly price is the old monthly price times 12 plus three extra users, so the price per user didn't change. What changed is the smallest purchase: a team that needed only 3 users now pays for 6, and Team Plus's entry cost rose from $11,040 to $14,244 a year, or 29%.[^req-prices][^list2026]

Onboarding is now a published price list of four packages: Lite $1,500, Basic $4,000, Advanced $8,000 and Premium $15,000, which "sit alongside your Matrix Req subscription".[^onboarding] Before, the product page named one $8,000 onboarding package. The new page doesn't say whether onboarding is required.

Matrix Quality, the separate eQMS for suppliers, audits, nonconformances and complaints, didn't change price. Its product page now shows "a published price from €10,000 a year", and its per-licence list is on the Simploud cost calculator.[^quality][^simploud]

## What it means for buyers

For the 10-person setup we score, Matrix Req Team Plus plus ten Matrix Quality licences, the yearly cost goes from about $21,800 to about $25,000 at published prices. Teams of 6 or more users on one plan pay the same as before.
