Hexagon spins off Octave, and ETQ Reliance becomes Octave Reliance

Hexagon AB completed the spin-off of Octave Intelligence plc on 22 May 2026. It distributed Octave shares to its own shareholders, one Octave share for every ten Hexagon shares.1 Octave listed on Nasdaq Stockholm on 25 May and on Nasdaq New York, under the ticker OCTV, on 28 May 2026.2

Hexagon bought ETQ in 2022 and ran it in its Manufacturing Intelligence division.3 In June 2025 it announced that ETQ would move into Octave.4 Octave is formed from Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence and Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial businesses, plus Bricsys, ETQ and Projectmates.5 Its registered office is in Dublin.6

What changed for buyers

The product is now sold as Octave Reliance, and the product pages say “Formerly ETQ Reliance.”7 Octave calls it “the updated, rebranded version of ETQ Reliance”.7 It says the new names “do not impact product functionality, contracts or entitlements.”8 Our ETQ Reliance review treats it as the same software under a new, listed owner, and notes that Octave still publishes no prices.
