# ETQ Reliance (Octave Reliance) pricing (2026)

Octave doesn't publish prices for Reliance, and ETQ never did. What is public is how it's licensed, which services cost extra, and a contract that lets fees rise up to 7% a year.

## What ETQ Reliance costs

Octave doesn't publish prices for Reliance. Its FAQ says pricing is "subscription-based (by users, modules or sites)" (checked September 2026).[^reliance] ETQ's old pricing pages, from 2020 to 2025, never showed a figure either.[^pricing-old] Price aggregators and review sites also list it as quote-only.[^erp][^sa]

We found no dated price paid by a buyer, so we can't give an estimate for a 10-person team.

## How Reliance is licensed

The licence is counted in concurrent users, not named users. ETQ's old pricing page said the cost "is based on the number of concurrent users", and the subscription agreement sells concurrent-user licences through an order form.[^pricing-old][^msa-2026]

On top of the user count, the price depends on which application sets you buy.[^pricing-old] Reliance is built from more than 40 configurable applications.[^reliance] The core covers document control, training, audits, CAPA, change management, risk, suppliers and analytics. Buyers add sets on top, such as nonconformance handling, supply chain, new product introduction and life sciences compliance.[^apps]

For a device maker, the life sciences set matters. It adds complaint handling with an FDA eMDR form, a Part 11 and Annex 11 e-signature app and a validation package.[^lsc] Budget for it in the quote.

## Reliance Go for smaller teams

ETQ launched Reliance Go in December 2025: a self-service package with 13 applications, setup guides and 24/7 support.[^go-pr] It is advertised with "licensing-only pricing", but no amount is published.[^go] Go covers the core and nonconformance sets only, so the life sciences set (complaints with eMDR, the Part 11 app) isn't in it.[^go]

## Fees on top

- **Implementation:** enterprise buyers can choose a self-service path or paid implementations of increasing depth.[^paths] Octave says a basic system takes a few weeks and multi-site rollouts a few months.[^reliance]
- **Validation:** Octave offers a validation package for self-validation, or paid validation consulting.[^lsc]
- **Reliance Go add-ons:** Service Care 360 setup help (up to 20 hours of setup help, a planning workshop and deployment check-ins), single sign-on setup, document migration and Microsoft 365 or Google Docs collaboration are optional add-ons with no public price.[^go]
- **Keeping data after exit:** keeping the environment longer than the offboarding window is a paid option.[^offboard]

None of these services has a published price. Capterra reviewers mention high licence and implementation costs.[^capterra]

## Renewals and price history

The current subscription agreement (June 2026) is non-cancellable and renews automatically for the same term. Fees can rise by up to 7% a year. Octave can also set a different amount if it quotes new pricing at least 30 days before renewal.[^msa-2026] So the 7% figure is not a firm cap.

There is no public price list to track changes against. Three reviewers, writing between 2021 and 2023, report that things once included became paid. One reports licence prices rising over the years. Others name tasks such as cloning environments, and help from customer service.[^capterra][^sa-reviews][^g2-billable] Ask for a renewal cap in writing, without the option to re-quote.

## Contract length and exit

The term is set in the order form; the agreement auto-renews and can't be cancelled for convenience.[^msa-2026] We found no published minimum term.

The exit terms are public. You can ask for your data in an industry-standard format at no charge within 30 days of the contract ending.[^msa-2026] Standard offboarding is included: Octave exports the full database where the product supports it, plus data in an industry-standard format, and gives you 30 days to download it before deleting it.[^offboard]

## How ETQ Reliance compares on price

- [MasterControl](/reviews/mastercontrol/) is another enterprise system without public prices. Capterra lists its Basic package from $25,000 a year, and our estimate for its Complete package is $25,000–72,000 a year for 10 users.[^mc-capterra][^mc-vendr]
- [Ideagen Quality Management](/reviews/ideagen-quality/) publishes a UK government price list: in October 2025, a £15,000 platform fee plus per-user licences came to £21,808 a year for 10 users. Its terms allow one uncapped increase a year.[^iq-gcloud][^iq-mssa]
- [Qualityze](/reviews/qualityze/) also sells by quote. Its AppExchange listing gives $30 per user per month for the lowest licence type, and its 2016 terms allowed renewal increases on 30 days' notice with no cap.[^qz-appx][^qz-msa]

Of these, only Reliance names a percentage in its renewal clause, but without any public price the starting point is unknown. Ask for the concurrent-user count, the application sets and every service as separate lines in the quote.
