Greenlight Guru publishes an entry price of $12,000 a year, but not what it covers. Buyers report paying more, and implementation is charged on top.

- Overall score: 7.4 out of 10 (#3 of 18 systems tested)
- Price: from $12k/yr (Vendor-published entry price for eQMS packages (Sep 2026); users and modules at that price not stated. Implementation is priced separately. Buyers report $21k–55k/yr (Vendr) and about $30k in year one for a 40-person team (2025).)
- Best for: You build a medical device, want design controls, ISO 14971 risk and quality events linked in one MedTech-only system, and can budget well above the entry price.
- Watch out: Users report the bill growing quickly as the team grows, and implementation is charged on top of the subscription.

Greenlight Guru is one of the few vendors in this category that shows a price on its own site: "eQMS packages start at $12,000 per year".[^pricing] The page doesn't say how many users or modules that buys, and implementation is extra. What buyers report paying is higher.

## What the entry price includes

Greenlight Guru's FAQ says quality management and product development subscriptions start at $12,000 a year.[^pricing] You can start with some capabilities and add more later. The subscription includes:[^pricing]

- validation documentation with every release, including an IQ protocol and completed OQ and PQ reports
- a dedicated customer success manager
- training resources and support

These cost extra:[^pricing]

- **Implementation.** Quoted separately for every customer; the amount isn't published. The vendor says most implementations take two to eight weeks.
- **Guru Assist and Guru Guidance.** Paid add-ons. Guru Assist offers in-app coaching and faster software support.
- **Professional services.** Help with configuration, audit prep, design and risk reviews, and automations.

## What buyers pay

- **Vendr** reports a median of $43,989 a year, with deals from $20,975 to $54,739.[^vendr] It shows no team sizes or dates.
- **Vendr's line items** (4 deals from 3 buyers, data last updated April 2025) put the "Quality: Core" package at $10,644, full users at $526–729 each, lite users at $210–237 each, a Quality Events add-on at $5,109 and onboarding at $3,125.[^vendr-sku]
- **A 40-person company** on Reddit reported paying about $30,000 in its first year (January 2025).[^reddit-cost]
- **A current customer** wrote in March 2026 that "the cost is starting to hurt a bit as the team grows."[^reddit-expensive]

Greenlight Guru itself says it "may not be the lowest-priced option".[^pricing] One Reddit user suggests getting competing quotes and asking for a price match.[^reddit-expensive]

## What a 10-person team pays

Our estimate for 10 people is **$12,000–30,000 a year**, plus implementation.[^pricing] The floor is the published starting price. The top is the 40-person company's first-year figure, and Vendr's lowest deal ($20,975) falls inside the range.[^reddit-cost][^vendr] The starting price applies to both quality management and product development subscriptions, which together cover the QMS and design controls.[^pricing]

## Price history

Greenlight Guru's pricing page carried no prices until 2026. Archived copies show packages without amounts: Essentials, Plus and Professional in September 2023, then a "Core" package with add-ons from 2024 to May 2026.[^archive] In September 2025 the page said all new customers had to buy one-time onboarding services.[^archive] The $12,000 starting price first appears after 20 May 2026.[^archive] So there's no earlier list price to compare against.

## Renewal terms

- **Increases.** The customer agreement lets Greenlight Guru raise fees at each renewal "in its sole discretion", with 90 days' written notice and no cap.[^msa] The June 2023 version also had no cap, with 30 days' notice.[^msa-2023]
- **User reports.** We found no first-hand reports of renewal increases as of October 2026.[^capterra]
- **Changes to the agreement.** Greenlight Guru can change the agreement without prior notice.[^msa]

Ask for a renewal cap in the order form.

## Contract length and exit

The pricing page says subscriptions are annual.[^pricing] The customer agreement leaves the term to the order form: if none is stated, the first term is two years.[^msa] Order forms renew automatically for the same length unless either side gives notice 60 days before the end, and neither side can terminate for convenience.[^msa] One Capterra reviewer, a device company CEO, wrote in December 2024 that Greenlight Guru insisted they pay for the full contract term.[^capterra]

Leaving doesn't cost extra. Greenlight Guru says you can export quality records in standard formats without paying for services.[^pricing] After any termination or expiry, you have 90 days to request an export of your data.[^msa] The API exports documents, design controls, suppliers, quality events and training records as JSON; its documentation is for customers only.[^api]

## How Greenlight Guru compares on price

- **[Qualio](/pricing/qualio/)** publishes no price. We estimate the same $12,000–30,000 a year for 10 people, and its implementation fee is also mandatory and unpublished.[^ql-review]
- **[SimplerQMS](/pricing/simplerqms/)** publishes $17,500 a year for up to 15 users, with implementation, validation, migration and training included. Its terms add 5% every 1 January.[^sq-pricing][^sq-terms]
- **[Matrix Requirements](/reviews/matrix-requirements/)** publishes its prices. Three engineering users plus ten quality licences come to about $21,800 a year, and onboarding is an optional $8,000 package.[^mx-review]
