What Orcanos costs
Orcanos doesn’t publish prices today. Its pricing page, checked 4 October 2026, lists three plans and custom Enterprise plans, with no prices.1 We found no current price anywhere else, so we show the price as “on request”.
Orcanos sells ALM (design control, risk and testing) and QMS (documents, CAPA, audits, suppliers and training) on one database. Today both come together from the Essentials plan up.21
How we got the price
We looked at three kinds of source:
- The vendor’s own price lists. Archived copies from 2019, 2020 and 2021 show prices. The list was gone by January 2024.345
- Listing sites. Capterra and its sister sites show a vendor-supplied starting price of “$99 per feature per month”, without saying what a feature is.6
- Buyers. Two Capterra reviewers call it expensive per user, without amounts.7 We found no independent price paid.
Both prices with an amount come from the vendor, and the newer list is five years old. That is not enough for an estimate under our rules, so we don’t give one.
Plans and tiers
The current plans:1
- Starter: 3 users, 5 viewers, 3 projects, and either up to four QMS processes or the full ALM module, not both.
- Essentials: 5 users and 10 viewers, full QMS and ALM, single sign-on and the Ask Paul AI assistant, with users added as you grow.
- Professional: adds custom processes, API access, the Service Center module, enhanced support and a sandbox.
All plans list a full validation package, basic onboarding, business-hours chat support and ready-made templates.1
Fees on top
We found no published fees. Basic onboarding and the full validation package are listed as included on every plan.1 Orcanos has a professional services team, which built a custom report for one customer; we found no published prices for its services.8 Features that some teams need, such as API access and the Service Center for customer complaints, sit on the Professional plan.1
What a 10-person team pays
We can’t say. Essentials includes 5 users, and extra users are added on top at a price that isn’t published.1 For context only: if the 2021 Premium price still applied, ALM and QMS together for up to 10 users would cost $15,000 a year.4 That is an old list price, not a current one.
Price history
Orcanos has changed how it charges more than once:
- 2019: per user, from $69 to $119 per user a month, with a 5-user minimum on the basic plans.3
- 2020 and 2021: Design Control (ALM) and Quality Management (QMS) at $990 a month each, and Premium (both) at $1,250 a month, each for up to 10 users, with two or three days of onboarding.4
- January 2024 onwards: named plans with no prices.5
The plans also shrank. In 2024, Essentials went from 10 included users to 5, Starter from 5 to 3, and API access moved up to Professional.59 We don’t know whether prices changed with them.
Renewal, contract length and exit
The terms mention “subscription plans of various durations” and auto-renewal unless you cancel at least seven days before.10 No minimum term is stated.
The terms let Orcanos change prices, with increases taking effect at the end of your current billing cycle. There’s no cap.10 Because current prices aren’t published, you can’t check an increase against a list. We found no user reports of renewal hikes.
On exit, document trees export as folders of files, and records export to CSV or Excel.1112 The terms say closing the account deletes all data, with no exit-export clause, and they don’t promise data return or escrow if the vendor is sold or closes.10 Export your records before you cancel, and ask for an exit clause in the order form.
How Orcanos compares on price
Matrix Requirements also combines design controls and a QMS, and publishes its prices: about $22k a year for a 10-person team across its two products. Ketryx is “on request” too, with only a free plan for small pre-market startups published. Greenlight Guru publishes an entry price from $12k a year, with implementation priced separately. Ask Orcanos for a written quote for your user count and compare it with these published figures.
